The open beta is now available for download. Below is information about the patches that have been posted on the official forums and consist mostly of bug fixes and balances. We also updated the database and wizard with the latest changes.

Can't download the beta version? Make sure you asked for access and selected the Steam beta (in Steam -> Settings -> Account -> Beta Participation), then check your library for "New world Open Beta", which should be a separate installation from the previous one tests.

worldwide experience

  • Fixed cases where boss encounters did not start or restart their encounters in multiple expeditions.
  • Fixed an issue where players could get stuck between the Chardis and the Arena in Lazarus' Instrumentalities.
  • Fixed an issue where laser walls were not doing damage in Star Mounds.
  • Fixed an issue that resulted in Archibald disappearing during combat in Star Mounds.
  • Fixed an issue where the Vine Bridge in The Garden of Genesis was missing.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause players to be blocked from entering the room with the Priest miniboss in the Deep.


  • Fixed access points to flags on starting beaches
  • Increased the range of interaction with the ship's flags on the launching beaches.
  • Additional directional lanterns have been added to FTUE.
  • Fixed an issue where Teleport Shrines did not appear on the map / compass or did not have a light beacon.
  • Fixed the frequency of spawning around the world in locations that restricted players on the same missions / missions.

Tuning adjustment

General AI

  • Increased AI damage scaling above level 50 and above (gradual scaling from 0% to 25% at level 66)
  • Increased AI health scaling above level 30 (gradual scaling from 0% to 15% at level 66)

Elite without bosses in the open world

  • Increased health and damage to better match enemies at expedition level (this is a multiplier with a change noted in overall AI)
  • Increased the damage of all non-boss elite AIs in the open world by 12-17%
  • Elite + AI health (Tainted Ogres, Tainted Bears etc) increased by 60%

Bosses in open world and arena

  • Increased health and damage to better match enemies at expedition level (this is a multiplier with a change noted in overall AI)
  • Boss damage increased by 20%
  • Boss health increased by 33%


  • Increased damage for all Expedition AIs by 13% (this is a multiplier with the change noted in overall AI)

Significant bug fixes


  • Players can no longer transfer boss status effects back to the boss using the Contagious Reverse Stab perk
  • Fixed several lanyard bugs that allowed players to kill AI from inaccessible positions
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Dynasty Apprentices from damaging the player

    • Now uses the healing behavior more consistently
    • Now uses its Vine Sweep Attack when its target is within melee range
    • Increased running speed and target movement accuracy while chasing the target

Scaling PVP

  • PvP scaling has been reduced. The difference in level will make more difference in your skirmishes, meaning the lower level player needs more hits to kill a higher level player and fewer hits for a higher level player to kill a lower level player.

Attribute threshold bonus

  • Reduced Bonus from Attribute Bonus Bonus from Bonus Bonus Bonus to Attribute Bonus: 80% → 60%

War hammer

  • Reduced Damage Reduction bonus from the Tempered Steel of the Fight Hammer from 20% → 15%


  • The Freeing Justice passive will now only remove one debuff, not all debuffs.

  • Changed the passive ability Sacred Protection to increase healing by 5% for all members of the group. It is used to grant additional maximum HP.

Great Axe

  • Decreased the effectiveness of the Fortification upgrade Gravity Well Unrelenting from 15% → 10%
  • Reduced Great Ax Heavy Impact Damage Reduction bonus from 20% → 15%


  • Bow Unbreakable Focus passive buff decreased from 20% → 10%

Chain perks

  • Reduced the number of chain perks associated with another target from 5 → 3
  • Elemental Chain Skills now only trigger Basic Attacks (Light and Heavy) and have a 2s Cooldown

Equip Load Updates

  • the 20% increase in damage with light equipment and 10% increase in damage with medium equipment should also affect the healing power of the character. To account for this, healing is reduced by 20%. We want the best healer to be in light gear.
  • Medium Equipment load threshold reduced from 15 → 13 and Heavy equipment threshold from 30 → 23.


  • The weighting of the protection factors (physical / elemental / balanced) in each armor class was normalized.
  • The armor provided by the breastplates has been increased and the amount provided by helmets has been reduced.
  • The armor provided by the balanced stats has been slightly increased to match the total armor provided by the physical and elemental stats.
  • Round shield and kite weight reduced.

Housing Trophies

  • Damage bonus against Creature Families reduced from 6% / 8% / 10% to 3% / 4% / 5%

Clamping of Empower and Fortify buffs

  • Potions will now count towards blocking buffs and buffs (max 50)

  • Updated duration from 3 minutes to 30 seconds

OakfleshBalm and Jewelstone Dust consumables

Siege turrets

  • Explosive Cannon damage increased by 30%

Healing Potions

Endurance Potions

  • Removed Stamina Potions from Alchemy Craft Station. This item has been removed from the game.


  • Amber Gem - The Amber Gem (Nature) damage ratio when placing attributes in focus has been reduced by 20% to make the healer's secondary weapon slightly less powerful in terms of damage dealt on focused builds.

Attribute threshold bonuses

  • Changed the strength threshold bonuses of 50, 100, and 150 to prevent the damage bonus from being applied to elemental melee attacks. This only applies to physical damage. This is to prevent the bonus from doubling when using Elemental Conversion Jewels with these attributes.


  • Small Deployable Objects (Hell Traps + Gunpowder Barrels) now share a placement limit of 15 per team during War and Invasion.

Significant bug fixes

  • Movement Speed ​​Boost - Fixed issues with players having a permanent speed boost applied

  • Normalized the perks on all Faction weapons and armor. This change made lower-level Faction armor give Crit Damage Defense instead of Cooldown Reduction.

Notable Bug Fixes

  • Many Named items had duplicate or otherwise incompatible perks and have been updated.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing some very low level items to roll with perks, which could cause players to get green items that weren’t special in any way (other than the color green, which is special to some people).
  • Fixed an issue that could cause fishing hotspot locations to be visibly culled, which could make them exceptionally difficult to find.
  • Updated the logic for teleporting players away from Faction Control Points so it should allow more people from each faction to participate.
  • Fixed an infinite loading wheel that could occur when you tried to purchase something from the trading post that had already been purchased by another person.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a significant increase to influence gains for attacking factions after 72 hours. This increase is still present, but has been reduced by ~50%.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing invites to Outpost Rush to not time out correctly, which was causing them to still be considered part of the invited group.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause boss drops in an Expedition to roll far outside of their appropriate Gear Score range.
  • Fixed an issue that made it possible for players to trade directly with each other over long distances by fast traveling in the middle of a trade.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Attacker turrets to be destroyed in one hit while they were mid-upgrade.
  • Fixed an issue where dying as a war resolved could cause the player to enter a state where they were unable to interact with the game.
