Ancient Hall

Once inside, head west down the ancient hall and cross the bridge to clear the first group of Ancients. After cleaning, open the Ancient Seal of Nitrogen and enter the Closed chamber

. From here, head up the stairs and clear another group of ancients upstairs. This is where you'll learn about the first expedition mechanic, Arcane Beams. To the right (north) there is a room with an iron vein and a knowledge card. On the left, you will have to crawl on your stomach under the beams to exit the Closed chamber and reach the first Checkpoint. Keep going down the corridor. Avoid the next beam and clear the next group of ancient mobs. From there, head south to enter the beam-filled Forbidden passage.

Forbidden passage

The fun starts here! Keep going south and jump off the ledge on the left. Then go further south and avoid the beams! Keep going until you see the platform shelf. From here, you will hug the ledge on the right and jump through the first rift using the action key (default shift). On the next platform, climb the wall on the right and turn left. You should see a reflected beam in front of you.

On the right side of the platform there is a small ledge that goes down. Jump carefully onto the ledge below and head under the bouncing beam! From there, you'll need to jump over to the next small platform straight ahead and then onto the next small platform on the right. To make the last jump, jump forward onto the large platform with stairs.

Head left and crawl on your stomach under another reflecting arcane beam. Be careful because there is a Shattered Archer on the other side of the beam that has a knockback ability that can knock you into the beam! Kill him and then climb onto the wooden platform in front of the wooden plank. Jump off the pier and onto the stone platform below, then SPRINT straight and jump over to the lower wooden platform. Remove the extras below and then hug the wall around the corner to the right.

After turning left, you will be able to reach the Secret Pool below. This will grant one player in your group a Secret Protection spell. After picking up, a shortcut will form between the platform and the beginning of the room. Whoever picked up Arcane Protection can now stand between the arcane beams and open a gap for members to pass through. This mechanic will appear several times during the Expedition. Use Arcan Protection to get through the door with the 3 bars to the south. This leads to 2 Rebirth Shrines. There is also a chest in the corridor ahead. Turn west and go up the stairs to get rid of some Ancient Mobs. Finally, bypass the secret beam at the end of the corridor and enter the Amphitheater


After entering the Amphitheater, turn left to see the magnificent staircase with some Ancients. This mob pack features an elite mini-boss named Ioane. Ioane wields a scimitar sword and has exceptionally high mobility. Kill Ioane and the mobs, then go up the stairs and turn right (north).
You'll see another pack of ancient mobs with another elite mini-boss named Erine. Erine has an Ancient with a spear and shield. Leave these mobs, open the seal of Ancient Mercury and enter the Shattered Obelisk.

The Shattered Obelisk (Part 1)

There is a third respawn point and stairs just outside the door. Climb the stairs and grab the Expedition Crate on the left. Take out the mobs and the secret beam at the top of the stairs will switch off. Go up the stairs and go to the left of the Obelisk and go down the stairs behind it. Clear the Ancients below and go through Ancient Mercury's sealed door to the hall

Hallway (part 1)

Behind the door you will see a shrine of rebirth. Go right and get rid of the ancient mobs ahead. You will notice a door with 4 runes. You must remember this for later. Now turn around and walk through the sealed ancient door behind you and head left. More ancient mobs ahead! Clear them and go down the stairs to the Vault Halls

Continue down the corridor to clear the next group of Ancients and go down the stairs to the right (east). Below you will find two elite minibosses, Limos and Erebas. Defeat them and make sure one party member (preferably DPS) receives the Arcane Protection buff in the back of the room! You'll need this buff to pass Use this to get to a door protected by secret rays. Walk through the three rays, then 4 teammates with no secret protection must clear the ancients quickly so that the protection buff does not expire before the team passes the next set of rays. After completing the second set, you'll be greeted with a Shrine of Rebirth. Go up the stairs, go back to the Shattered Obelisk for the first boss fight

The Shattered Obelisk (Part 2)

As you climb the stairs, you'll encounter a group of ancient mobs and the Expedition's first true boss, Alectos the Endless.

The boss fight - Alektos the Relentless

Arcane Orbs - Alectos fires a large cone of magic orbs at the party
Raise Ancients - Alectos Spawns in more combat attachments - remove them to prevent Alectos from using the enchanted beam
Enchanting Beam - Enchants an attachment, making it grow and strong.
Arcane Nova - Alectos hits the ground with his staff, creating Arcane Nova around himself, dealing damage
Secret Pool - Little purple Aoe placed on the ground.
Arcane Rejuvenation - Alectos Maintains his magical glow by holding his hands up to heal himself (approx. 33% of his health).

Throughout the fight, the tank will face Alectos towards the outer edge of the platform to direct the Arcane Orbs away from the group. The Tank will also need to abort Arcane Rejuvenation by terminating its self-healing Arcane Rejuvenation. DPS may need help with interrupting this ability if the interrupt is in the process of cooling down. The DPS will have to remove the addy that Alectos appears, preventing Alectos from enchanting them. The rest of Alectos' damage is easily dodged from a distance. Finish it off and collect your loot.

When Alectos is dead, pay attention to the Ancient Shrine (temple with a blue pool). You'll have to use it later. Grab the chest to the west, then go down the stairs and clear the Ancients below. Grab your arcane protection and make your way through two sets of arcane rays. Another elite mini-boss named Sangarion will appear with more ancient mobs. After cleaning, search the decorative chest for the Obelisk Key. You must take the Obelisk Key back to the ancient temple to bless it. Then take the Vestibule Key to open the Runed door. Go back through the The halls of the crypt to get there.

Hallway (part 2)

Use the Obelisk Key to open the Runed door and enter the Crypt of the Regent. After going through the door you will see the last respawn point. The final boss is ahead of us.

The boss fight - Greundgul regent

Phase 1

Cleave - Grendgul hits the ground with his great sword
Gruendgul Bone - Gruendgul throws a die on the ground that appears in Ancient Addas

  • Its first phase is simple. DPS Greundgul and clean Gruendgul bones as they appear. You always clean the bone first, and then the addy that is reborn. After you kill Greundgul, his second phase begins.

Phase 2

Gruendgul will now start jumping around the room, creating a shockwave from where it lands, creating a powerful area shockwave. Avoiding them completely is difficult, so players will need to distract and avoid as soon as they can to reduce stress on the healer. After a few jumps, it will stop jumping and will be reborn into 2 dice. First kill the bones then add. Gruendgul will then go back to the jumping phase. Rinse and repeat and you're done with Burial mounds of star stones!
