The first option is to travel to the settlement (not the fort) and visit the inn. After visiting the inn, you can talk to the innkeeper and get the option of fast travel to that particular settlement. You can only have one inn active at a time, so if you travel to another settlement and set that settlement as a fast travel location using the Taverns option, it will overwrite the previous Inn of your choice.
After visiting the inn and setting it as your fast travel location, you can quickly travel back to the inn of your choice from anywhere in Aeternum. Just press M to open the map and click on the settlement of your choice. You will then see the "Summon to the inn" option. There is a 1 hour cooldown for this option.
Option number 2 is fast travel with the use of Merkuriusz. Open the map and click on the settlement you want to go to. Below "Recall to Inn" is the "Fast Travel" option. This option costs Mercury, and the cost varies depending on:
- Base Cost - 50 Azoth
- Distance - 5 Nitrogen per 100 meters
- Load amount - 4 Azoth per 10 weight
- Discounts for factions
- Company discounts
You must have enough Mercury and visit the settlement before you can use this option. You can only use this option if you are in a different Fast Travel location, such as a settlement or another Fast Travel Point (option 4 below).
Option number 3 is to own a home. If you own a house in a settlement and have no outstanding taxes, you can use that house as a fast travel destination to that particular settlement. You can own up to 3 different houses in Aeternum, each with an independent Fast Travel cooldown. The cooldown varies depending on the level of the house you own:
Level 1 - 4 hours
Level 2 - 3 hours
Level 3 - 2.5 hours
Level 4 - 2 hours
Option 4 is to discover fast travel points through Aeternum. Fast Travel Points are locations that allow players to quickly travel from place to place at the expense of Mercury. These points work very much like option 2, and the cost in Azoth is based on metrics.
